Well done! Borrow a cane and request a wheel chair by all means. This will help immensely during your trek through the airport.

Marlis, I am so glad you were able to get away and all went well. Refreshing! Enjoyed reading this blog...certainly brings back memories of Mom's dealings with Dad. Be sure to build in "me time" for your weekly schedule. You deserve it!

I'm trying to get up the courage to do a similar get-away. It will take some doing on my part to get a caregiver for husband and dog. I will make it happen! Good for you!

Marilyn Piepho I don't know where my response went, the one I put on the blog itself. But I enjoyed your writing, and learned some tips for older travelers, things I did not know, but will be remembered if I ever travel like that again. I am so glad you got rested up, Marlis. You are blessed. Perhaps this time my comments will show up for you !

Such a great read, Marlis. I sure picked up some travel tips for older folks, things I did not know, but which may come in handy if I ever travel like that again. And I am so glad you got rested up. What a huge blessing !!
