In a perfect world this would work. I respect medical providers. But when there is an obvious problem & you can NOT talk to your provider & the provider retaliates when advocates try to help, something is wrong. Counter-transference is real. So is CYA. I am not really hoping for a solution at this point but since I was raised to respect those who earn it it was very disturbing to find my provider was not only lying about me but telling people that I was saying what she actually said. Exaggerations, seeing things that were not there or not in the form she stated, adding false info including blood draws I did not have, etc. Changing diagnoses so she could pursue her own ideas & the list goes on. NO one can seem to see what is going on. So, in summary, I believe doctors should be respected. I believe they should be partners with the patient as much as possible. There should be dialogue between the patient & the provider. When there is NOT it should be investigated not covered up. This is not happening in my area.
