Amen about hearing, dental and vision care. How ludicrous that those of us who are much more likely to need these have no coverage for them. Ditto on long-term care and a break for caregivers. I spent the past 10 years looking after my father's interests and staying on top of his care first in assisted living then in Alzheimer's unit (he had dementia but was physically healthy as a horse) while also taking care of my disabled twin sister who lives with me and I worked full time. Fortunate that our Papa had funds for his care but we don't and won't plus never could afford private long-term care insurance. Life is tough. Hang in there and God bless.

As a Dementia caregiver to my 63 year old husband for the last 4 years, I could certainly use some help, but not at $25 per hour. How about a tax break for caregivers? He possibly has a year - more or less. I'm killing myself doing this, but hope to end up w/enough to cover my needs in the future & not burden anyone else with my care. I am 68 and have never worked so hard or been so stressed. Anything Medicare could do to relieve caregivers would be a welcome gift. We have already put in place a DNR. There will be no extreme measures to prolong his life.

For caregiver's who do not have a way of paying for or getting insurance to be temporarily covered. No thresholds. Because they are saving the government millions taking care of their elderly instead of putting them on medicaid in a nursing home for one, secondly the only two things would be are they able to get it from their spouse if they are then pay the monthly fee for them and they only get it when they are checked out and caring properly for the elderly person, which what ever home care source they are using such as visiting nurse can weigh in on.
