First, CCRCs try to say it is cheaper to live an independent living facility than your home. Not so with us, and we live in a gated golf course community. Second, why should we GIFT a CCRC 200K plus with absolutely no return on your money, and some can ask your to vacate if you run out of money
I didn't think military personnels pensions went to a spouse. I just read somewhere, maybe here, that the military personhad to take out an insurance for this purpose and that insurance cost at least $300 a month. My BIl retired as a Major after 20 yrs in the AF. His wife told me she will not be entitled to his pension.
My X(62) send me a email that asking me to wave my part of his military pension. He is getting disability income and military retirement pay(E-7) after served over 22 years and I(63) was married with him over 19 years...It has been 20 years I'm getting, he think it is longer enough No way!! I will get pay till I died. Maybe tell my x to apply for section 202?
