How does one live life based on “no hope”?

This is an extreme point of view that assumes that God and eternity does not exist.

Aging Care needs to present a biblical based view of life after death. One that is filled with hope and not the distorted thinking of a man with medical credentials that assumes there is no God

Dr. Nuland writes, "None of us seems psychologically able to cope with the thought of our own state of death, with the idea of a permanent unconsciousness in which there is neither void nor vacuum—in which there is simply nothing. It seems so different from the nothing that preceded life.”
I am saddened when one writes with no hope. We are all just one breath away from either eternal life with our Heavenly Father or eternally separated from Him. I personally know that there is a God. God pursues us all of our life. I have life markers, events in my life with no explanation but God's care, that tell me so. Please do not ignore God's touch on your heart. God will reveal Himself to you. Please respond to His amazing grace. No one is an atheist. You either believe in the God of nothing or the one true God. Read the Bible book of John. God's inspired word and truth. God's blessings to all who read this.

There is much more to this book than what this article includes and it isn’t a depressing book at all.

I read this book while my FIL had suffered a brain trauma from falling.
He was stuck in a declining heart hospital in a small town. The medical staff was advising a NH and didn’t think he would recover.
DH and I lived in a metropolitan area with excellent medical care a couple of hours away where we knew he would get better care.
We were getting a lot of push back from the medical staff. After a visit we went to a book store looking for information on his condition. I found Dr Nulands book. We studied all the scenarios he gave of how we die. It was what we needed to take action.
We had to fight to get FIL released to transfer to the medical center. We were threatened with AMA, etc.
I’ll never forget a nurse quietly giving me his personal number to call him at home that night. He walked me through the steps to take and we were able to get him transferred to an excellent hospital/neurologist.
This happened in 1997, FIL was 78. He lived until 2008 , a month short of his 90th bd.

When I see Dr. Nulands name, I always remember how grateful I was to find his book. I suppose it made such an impression as we were truly at need to understand the likely outcome of the head trauma and what we should be doing to help him. It gave us the confidence to push back against the prevailing and mistaken attitude we were dealing with.

Thank you for posting this article. It brings back a lot of memories.

Aging Care has given a very prominent platform for an Atheist to share their views on a present and future without God. This was a very depressing article!

Aging Care needs to offer a similar platform to a Christian author who has a biblical based hope for a glorious life beyond death.

Life is terminal. Where will your spirit/soul go after it’s loosed from the bonds of a body? If you don’t know...you need to. Is God real? Is there a heaven to gain and a hell to shun? If this life on earth is a nano second in length compared to eternity...shouldn’t we all be asking ourselves these questions?
