I just removed my wife from an assisted care facility with a memory care unit. It was terrible and I had to remove her unless then 3 weeks. They didn’t have someone to accompany her to walk so she couldn’t go outside. I complained but they said give it more time. When I arrived one day and saw she wasn’t dressed properly ( no socks, no underwear pull-ups, no top but a jacket) , I pulled her out the next day. They said I had to pay another month because I didn’t give them a 30 day notice. The Bristal in Wayne is highly rated!!!

Very good article for the lucky ones that can "shop" for a memory care unit. In my case, I did not had that privilege; with Medicaid is take it or leave it. My husband suffering from dementia was transferred from the Hospital to a NH/Rehabilitation Center, very far from a memory care community.
