Your mom was a realist. She knew something was wrong with her. She had an idea of what it was going to take as she continually progressed in her disease. She knew that she did not want to put this burden on her children/family. And was so brave to choose an unknown place to live. Yes, your mom really does know best.

Your mom is the most selfless and loving mother a person could have. I admire her courage and consideration for her children. It is never easy to make a decision about going to a nursing care facility. It is always inspirational to read about a parent who is adament about not having their children sacrifice their lives to care for them. Thank you for sharing your story.
