I am a caregiver to my husband diagnosed originally with MSA (Multiple System Atrophy( with had a doctor with an attitude. I changed physicians with his consent only to find that MSA was an improper diagnosis. My husband has parkinsons and with proper medication and exercise is doing well most of the time.

Please don't forgot assistive products to help people cope with the issues of Parkinsons. We run into people all the time that don't know about the U-Step walker (specially designed to help with "freezing" and other issues of Parkinsons) and other products like Friendly Beds, Superpoles, lifting products for the toilet, etc. The article is great but sometimes products can also be critical to keep a person safe and independent.
