For myself and for my Dad, we prefer the urgent care walk-in clinics and Patient First type store fronts that are opened seven days a week and into the late hours.

I know if I wasn't feeling well or had an injury, I wouldn't enjoy the thought of walking to the back of the drug store or big box store, usually where most pharmacies are located. The bright lights, the noise, people milling about. Get me to the waiting room as soon as I walk in the door.

What I like about urgent care type walk-in clinics is that they have labs and x-ray machines on site. And if the doctor feels that I would need a higher level of care, he/she would be calling 911 to take me to the ER, with paperwork in hand.
