It is sad, but true and something we all surely consider as we age. I will try to find song and author of a song that makes me cry every time I hear it. Either title or lyric is, "Hello In There." Same theme.

And true, as well. It's an apt description of a transition we all will face one day, in one way or another. It reminds me of a verse in the song "The Gambler" by Kenny Rogers: ". . . for every hand's a winner, and every hand's a loser, and the best that you can hope for is to die in your sleep . . ."
