Hi, all. Good article; one of the only I was able to find on this specific topic. There are a lot of lists of crowdfunding sites -- one article said there were 600 such sites! After corresponding with a few, and looking at other elements, I posted my downsizing project for a relative on Plumfund. I think it's relatively newer so it's not listed everywhere yet. Customer service is responsive and it seems there is only the standard fee to collect credit card payments. If anyone else has used crowdfunding sites to raise $ for downsizing, that would be good to know.
Hugs to those of you involved in paying it forward to lend a hand to someone in need. We should all count our blessings for having a program that reaches out. Too many bad things happen everyday. It is refreshing to hear about people being nice to one another.
This crowdunding information is a blessing to know. You never know who you may help. Thank you so very much for another inventive way for a friend, family, caregiver etc to help. We are ALL caregivers. I have a Senior Information Service. Im glad to add this to my list of help. Thank you. Blessings
I don't want to go into details because they're personal but this approach was suggested to someone in our family. It was not for us. Maybe others may want and/or need to try it. Someone outside the family started it and the rest of us found it invasive with one family member describing it as creepy.
