These are great tips. Thank you. I was shocked to learn that Alzheimer's has a significant effect on vision.

Not too sure where you got your info about having your eyes dilated, Grace3. Perhaps you are confusing it with something else? Dilation involves having drops administered that increase the size of your pupils so the optometrist can see into your eyes to detect problems.
This is a good common sense article, but I do want to mention that most modern prescription lenses have UV protection built in, if not it can be added inexpensively, so it's not necessary to wear dark lenses to protect your eyes.

I agree with recommendations except having eyes dilated. From my reading, it is not a good thing so research thoroughly before you sign to give consent to have eyes dilated.

I am 67 years old, have never smoked, and have always followed a highly nutritious diet. For about the last 15 years, I have avoided foods with toxicants. You can imagine how surprised I was to be told, that I was developing cataracts. I got it treated from an acclaimed LASIK surgery centre, See By Intravision in Oakville and the result was meritorious. Thanks to the advancement in technology and the painless treatment methodologies that have come to existence.
