I was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease a few years back and I had Encephalitis at age 9. I was diagnosed with Peripheral Neuropathy about four years ago. I read somewhere that WORLD HERBS CLINIC has the best Parkinson's disease HERBAL FORMULA. At first, I don't believe it, But after spending my whole day online, I saw so many good testimonials about them. I purchase 6 bottles of Parkinson’s disease herbal formula in February this year, Three months LATER my symptoms were nowhere to be found. Am so happy to share and all thanks to WORLD HERBS CLINIC doctors.

My mother has a UTI and I can't believe how delirious she is! It kicked in fast Thursday night unbeknown to us and she fell and has badly broken her right wrist, her foot and cracked her hip and has knee gout. She is stuck in hospital not knowing what has happened and then had another fall in hospital forgetting that she has broken her foot. It's been 6 days and she is almost getting worse. And the doctors can't explain it. They say it could be a combination of her UTI and all the meds she is on - pain killers, steroids and anitbiotics. I'm in the hospital all day with her but have to be home with my ten year old at night being a sole parent. She just rang me from the hospital at 11pm and kept asking me to come take her home. I'm just so heartbroken!!

My father went to a nursing home for rehabilitation. After a hospital stay he needed to get strong enough to walk again. He was negligently left in a diaper all day. He developed a UTI that turned into pneumonia and sepsis. He ultimately died after appearing to get better. He was released to another home for rehabilitation. And he just died... He was our glue.. we just can’t make it without him

Now I know why my husband's mental status changed so quickly. He was discharged from the hospital with an UN-treated UTI and wound up readmitted and ultimately died of SEPSIS. If not for his hospital records I would never have known he had a UTI OR SEPSIS, both left UN-treated! So much for Doctor's who care now a days!

Raw garlic ..2 or 3 cloves crushed into a a paste & swallowed down like a pill before meals is a wonderful aid for UTI"s..And doesn't have the side effects associated with antibiotics..Or the tolerance over long term use
Antibiotic have their place & are important ..however they are a hobby horse in medicine that is vastly overdone
Applying a little coconut oil topically to the vulva and vagina in ladies is very soothing in inflammation and UTI ...and antibacterial.
For abdominal pain rub on a little cold pressed Castor oil...a clean cotton cloth over the top.. Plastic wrap around the body to hold the cloth in place. Then a hot water
bottle or heating pad (the bottle is preferred) will soothe spasm and therfore
relieve pain and anxiety
Finally I have seen time & again that there is nothing more soothing to a person suffering with a UTI than a simple inexpensive tea of flax seeds!
1 teaspoon of brown whole flax seeds....Pour 1 cup boiling Distilled water over the seeds. Cover . Let steep 5 to 10mins. Strain & serve with a little raw honey
When all else fails this tea and the warm castor oil pack will work Wonders!

My husband had UTI, and kept being given different antibiotics of which he sneakily did not complete and kept declining until finally it was discovered he had a antibiotic resistant strain of e-coli which through the different incomplete regimes created a super-bug. However, he also had diverticulitis, that despite complaining many times to the physician about abdominal pain, was simply dismissed. Ultimately, I changed PCP's and he was very near death. The new doc ordered a ct and called and ordered us to ER immediately. We were told he had a reparable condition or would die. They did repair him, but the alteration was life-changing impact.... wish he had been correctly diagnosed earlier in the game... I'm beyond burnout out on caregiving and health care systems designed to churn out the numbers, and blow off their seniors.

The only way we knew something was wrong was when she would not open her eyes. She sees things all the time, so it's hard to tell. She does use D mannose, but we had also read about the long term mild antibiotics - the doctors will not prescribe it 'because of antibiotic misuse.' We have another relative who is taking the antibiotics and she has not had a UTI in over a year. At her age, I don't think they have to worry about her getting drug resistant infections, so why not a preventative measure?

My mother had chronic UTIs for over 12 years until her doctor put her on 24/7 low dose antibiotics. I had been trying to talk him into trying D-Mannose for a couple of years. When she got a UTI ON the antibiotic, he was willing to prescribe it. He wrote the prescription so that the folks at the Assisted Living Facility would administer it daily but I bought it online because it was cheaper than buying it at the health food store. I purchased the Now brand in bulk powder form and they just mixed a teaspoon into some juice each day. Her urologist also suggested a probiotic called Fem Flora that I bought online.

The combination of those two kept my mother UTI free for 8 years before she finally passed away recently at 94.. She was fully incontinent at that time and using diapers but still remained UTI free. There are absolutely no side effects either and the simple sugar (the same type in cranberries except more concentrated), supposedly has no ill effect even on diabetics. If a person does contract a UTI you can double or triple the dose to combat it. I understand that D-Mannose may not work for everyone and it is a commitment to administer it every day, but my mom's life was so much happier and pain free using it.

I was glad to see the mention of D-mannose in the article. My late mother was having recurrent bladder infections until I started her on daily D-mannose capsules. That was the end of the infections! Clinical studies have been done that show its efficacy in preventing recurrent infections, yet neither her physician nor the head nurse at her CCRI knew about D-mannose.
Nowadays I keep a jar of it on hand for my own use.

This article confirms my thoughts on my Mom, she has had and indwelling foley catheter for over 20 years and is presently in the Nursing Home for going on 6 years. It is a great facility, however I am constantly battling with them over UTI'S. Having taken care of her and my Dad (lost him 3 years ago to a fall which he never awoke from after surgery to his hip) at home for over 20 years, being the closest one to her I can tell the difference in her mental behavior almost instantly when she has a UTI. Over this course of time, Mom has become resistant to all Meds taken by mouth and is now on the Rocephrine injections X 5 days when she has a UTI.. When this no longer works they are telling me she will have a few antibiotics she will be able to have intraveniously, then the only thing we will be able to do is make her as comfortable as possible. Every time she has the symptoms, I have to fight for days to get their attention in order to get her some medication. My Mom is 92 years old, sharp as a tack, she is paraplegic and just has a worn out body, and in my humble opinion is an ANGEL on earth. Mom has been in her condition for 26 years and never complains. I have never know anyone like her and at this stage of her life I feel Quality of Life in lieu of Quantity of Life is most important. Her symptoms come on very fast, worms in food, ants crawling on the ceiling, some kind of red stuff she sees everywhere, she even saw a train going down the tracks across from the Nursing Home that was not there. She never runs fever or has the other normal symptoms. They have tried to tell me it is Alizheimer's, but once I can get them to give her the meds all symptoms stop. So with all that said, I am not a trained professional, but as I approach 70 myself, and have taken care of both my aging parents for over 20 years, I find I am a very worn out on the job trained caregiver and it would be nice to be listened to before days go by that Mom is in such a state. So, thank you for this article and many more I have read ....keep them coming as I find great information and solitude in reading them. Again thanks, LOH
