It seems as though allergies are getting worse, particularly for older loved ones. I found this article helpful in assisting my mom with her allergies this year: https://heartsathomeusa.com/senior-allergy-care/

Best ways to prevent bed Soars is to have a special air mattress I know if you are on Hospice they will provide this because my dad had an air mattress helped alot...ALSO THEY MUST BE REPOSITIONED VERY OFTEN !! This is probly the most importaint of anything you can do to prevent bed Soars if our elderly loved ones sit in one position too long their blood supply to a specific area may be cut off causeing tissue to die ,this is the reason that we try to always reposition a bedridden patient .There's many creams you can use if you suspect a pressure spot or even a duoderm (a type of skin like bandage) you CANNOT BE TOO CAREFUL!! beds soars are painful and a real Hassel to deal with Caution and consistentany are the best way ,VERY DIFFICULT to prevent expecally with a bedridden patient GOOD LUCK!!

Hist block, Quercetin and Bromelain, and just read that Vit D is important. I have used and several others I know use the Bio Allers allergy drops. My problem is getting my father to wear his mask when outdoors... and I am having the worst allergy season ever. (We use a dehumidifier all summer, also.)

I did find a list of natural aids that I haven't bought or applied yet. Also recommended were saline nose sprays. Any comments?

Keep the door closed and window when lots of pollen is out in the air. I personally wouldn't give my mnl at her age anything without asking her doctor first anyway for not only do some of the allergy meds have side effects it can also make their bloodpressure rise.

An air purifier can be beneficial for allergies. In our case, the results are almost instantaneous without having to worry about another drug.
