Like others mentioned, this is an interesting read and really helpful information. It seems that thyroid issues are becoming more common in older adults.

very interesting read. I was diagnosed at 31year and am now 47 years with hypothyroidism. taking treatment and keeping active as my weight fluctuates. should I be taking additional calcium for the later years?

first question-if you had no weight problem before hypothyroidism,and being on L-Thyroxine, for over fifteen years-you have acquired weight problems-any answers ?
second question-how often should you have it checked with the longer,more thorough lab test ?
