Just by being here next to her 24/7 I can see what it is doing or not doing and so far it is not working for her. I will keep her on this but until they come out with one pill that fits all, which u know is not going to happen, but thank you, johnnycares

My oppinion of the new stages they've outlines is that it is far to broad. The new last stage they are outlining can last for years. While I think its appropiate to find alz sooner, I think combining all the middle and last stages into one is not helpful.

johnny i know this is hard. And I dont blame you. It cost a lot to take care of alz. Its such a lng disease. No since in paying big money for somthing that isnt working. you may need that money in the future for other care she needs. However its hard to tell if its keeping it at bay or not. Hard decisions. Can you have her evaluated again to see if it has slowed down? or if it continues to progress?

It takes some courage to say: this isn't working, I don't want it. It is kind of like saying the Emperor doesn't have on any clothes. They put my mom on patch for a few months. It did nothing for her mental function but it did fast forward her to the donut hole and the last 4 months of the year she had no drug coverage. Never again. If you look at the actual numbers, these drugs are only helpful in a very limited number of patients. Try something, if it works great but if not ditch it. Everyone should be able to decide for themselves if something helps or not.

What I want to know is why do doctors push memory drugs on their patience . My wife has been on these pills now for two and half years and they have not repeat they have not work. And they are very costly. All memory drugs that are approve by the FDA ,and yet one size fits all?

I guess we all have alzheimers and will be forced into guardianships that the Alzheimer's association supports !!! when they should be working on a cure ! This is nothing more that a way for the Alzheimers association to help people track and capture the baby boomer generation and take over their lives ! Shame on the alzheimers association for betraying the American People.
