I feel sad that anyone would think we can ever be too old for love. As long as we are human and have a heart, our hearts naturally love loving and being loved. Why would that change just because our body has become older? 60 IS THE NEW SEXY! from a luscious 61 year old;-)

Well, that's real sweet, but what happens when your 82-year-old mother with moderate dementia decides she wants to "be married" and fixates on the guy from the AL she just moved out of who is calling her now (she lives with my husband and me; could no longer manage AL). Who's taking care of who? Am I going to end up caring for two old people?? And/or dealing with his family members who are strangers to me? Neither one drives. Where will they live? And what about finances, insurance, social security? My siblings, long-suffering husband and I have been through enough because my mother planned nothing, after assuring us when we asked multiple times that "everything was taken care of". Sorry - guess it's evident that I have some resentment issues.

I am preparing to go to a wedding on Valentines Day 2/14/11. The wedding is for my uncle, age 91 and his fiance, age 88. I am so excited. Love is ageless. They are sooo happy and I am happy for them!!!

That gives me hope for myself for the future given that love has not worked out for me in the present.
