My wife has benefitted from physical therapy but was denied future treatments because Medicare will not pay for them because she was not improving. Now she has regressed to where shed cannot walk, get in or our of bed or the car, and falls more often and I cannot get help. Also you should be awae of what I call a scam. This past weekend she was taken to the emergency room and kept in the hospital overnight. Even though the told me they were "admitting" her, they put her in for "observation". Medicare will not pay for "observation" and he hospital charge the full daily rate for her care. When I found out the next day, the next day, I asked them to admit her but they would not so I removed her from the hospital even though the doctor said it was risky. This scam means Medicare pays nothing and the hospital receives thousands of dollars more then what Medicare would have paid.
