My father suffered / suffers from chondrodermatitis (CNH), which is an ear pressure sore. Interestingly, we use a special pillow with a hole to alleviate the pressure on his ear during the night to treat this sore sore. Interestingly, I also use the pillow to relieve my own tinnitus. If I sleep with my ear in the hole, I don't hear the whooshing noise as much, I think perhaps because I'm more open to outside sounds. In any event; here it is if anyone else is interested.
