Start your research to find a NH that has LTC Medicaid beds and will take a new custodial care resident as “Medicaid pending”. You may have to look outside of your city or county.
There is no such thing as a low cost nursing home, in reality. If you qualify, or your loved one qualifies, you can apply for Medicaid in your state for long term care in a Skilled Nursing facility.
