Parkinson's Disease Treatment

Parkinson's disease treatments include medication, physical therapy to relieve tremors, trembling, “freezing” and difficulty with walking or gait. In some case surgery called deep brain stimulation may be recommended. Because there is no cure for Parkinson’s disease, treatment is directed at relieving the symptoms that are most bothersome to an individual. Therefore, there is no standard or “best” treatment for Parkinson’s disease that applies to every person. People with PD should work with their doctor to determine what Parkinson’s treatment is best for them.
