"We have promised ourselves that we shall always treat our residents as we would our own loved ones. Nothing less than our best will do."
This is a simple promise that the staff at River Valley Landing - and throughout Emeritus Senior Living communities - has shared since 1989, when our retirement community first opened its doors. It's a simple promise to be compassionate and kind, understanding and respectful - a promise to become extended family to the seniors entrusted in our care and to our retirees who have chosen our community for its active lifestyle.
The Perfect Location
River Valley Landing is ideally situated one half mile from I-5 and I-205, right next door to Legacy Meridian Park Hospital, which is one of the highest rated hospitals in the U.S. While our retirement community is close to exciting downtown Portland, our property is bordered by protected green space and encircled by park-like lawns, meadows and stately established trees. A quiet, peaceful setting, with easy accessibility to all that Portland has to offer, makes River Valley Landing the perfect location!
River Valley Landing is surrounded by beautiful wine country, yet we have easy accessibility to I-5. Scenic drives, visits to a local casino, a quick trip to Seaside on the spectacular Oregon Coast for chowder, the Oregon Garden Oregon Botanical Gardens, Woodburn Outlet Malls, Broadway Theater in Tigard, historic Oregon City and of course, all of the cultural activities, museums and attractions in downtown Portland are just minutes away! In addition, within a three-mile radius of River Valley Landing are many shops, restaurants, libraries, parks and hiking trails running along the beautiful Tualatin River and Wildlife Refuge. We often organize trips to the refuge, where there are wheelchair-accessible trails for the enjoyment for our outdoor enthusiasts and bird watchers. Lake Oswego Golf Course is also close by--just 12 minutes from our community. Residents also love to watch the electronic-controlled model boat races on Tualatin Lake, and we often take residents to one of our many local rivers to enjoy an afternoon of fishing. In addition, we are located close to many of the churches our residents have attended all of their lives, making it easy for them to continue belonging to the church of their choice.
