"We have promised ourselves that we shall always treat our residents as we would our own loved ones. Nothing less than our best will do."
This is a simple promise that the staff at Emeritus at Southpoint — and throughout Emeritus assisted living communities — has shared since 1998, when Emeritus at Southpoint first opened its doors. It's a simple promise to be compassionate and kind, understanding and respectful — a promise to become extended family to the seniors entrusted in our care.
Set on beautifully landscaped grounds with an outdoor courtyard, lovely gardens and meandering trails, Emeritus at Southpoint is one of Jacksonville's premier assisted living and Alzheimer's communities. Conveniently located near I-95 off J. Turner Butler, our upscale senior living community offers 63 apartments on one floor overlooking a beautiful well-stocked lake, shaded by mature oak trees. Here our residents — in many cases, with their pets — enjoy retirement living. Yet a helping hand from our warm, caring staff is always close by.
Our community also offers an innovative memory care program, Join Their Journey®, for seniors affected by Alzheimer's or dementia. Because your family's experience will be unlike any other, our goal is to get to know you and your loved one, so that we can offer support and solutions for your individual situation. We "join the journey" of your loved one by recognizing individuality, encouraging choices and allowing residents the dignity to live in a secure, personalized and familiar setting that feels comfortable for them.
Our common areas — including our lovely dining room, library and wellness center — give residents and their loved ones the opportunity to get to know one another. We offer a wide range of activities each month, including off-site excursions. We are in a residential area convenient to the areas most popular restaurants, churches, shopping malls and theaters, as well as the best medical care and hospitals. In addition, our community is located within a 5 mile radius to many healthcare services including St. Luke's Hospital which is across the street and a nursing home rehabilitation center if ever needed.
If you are living on your own, you can also choose to spend the day with us. Our in-house senior day programs offers health services tailored to your needs to help you maintain your independence. At the same time, you'll meet new people and enjoy meaningful activities that enrich your life, including shopping outings, live entertainment, educational programs, games and much more. Breakfast, lunch and snacks are provided.
