Caregiver pay: How to get paid for caregiving

Is there pay for caregivers? Can people who take care of elderly parents get paid? Unfortunately, there’s no easy answer. Even if you have to quit your job to care for a family member, it is extremely difficult to be handed a check for being a family caregiver – even though you deserve it – it’s a full-time job! The short answer is: There are some states that offer some assistance. There may be some money out there, but you will have to do some research, based on your individual situation and the state in which you live.
