Give a Hug

There are website that give ratings but they don't give you costs. The best thing to do is google nursing homes or assisted living in your area, then call them and schedule a visit. I found that ratings weren't always current or available online and I had a better feel for the place after visiting. Also they each gave me a folder that had their rates and different levels of care etc..After Mom had her stroke they asked which rehab facility I wanted her to go to, not being familiar with them I just chose from their recommendations. Luckily they were great, but after I moved her in with me (different town) I didn't want to be caught in that situation again. so I took a day off work and visited half a dozen places. I now feel comfortable knowing which place to pick if Mom would have another stroke or fall that required their services. Good Luck!
