Has anyone used a medical alert device that you can talk into?

I found one online. I like this type of device because your parent can talk right into the pendant rather than shouting at the base unit. Also there is no "middle man" that you have to talk to ...it dials the numbers directly.
Sounds too good to be true...has anyone tried this one or another brand like it?

...also, if you have bought any medical alert device, do your parents actually use it/wear it....do they work?
