The $250.00 Medicare rebate is fine for now, but what about next month when mine is used with one purchase of insulin?

Carol Bradley Bursack, Jul 4, 2010

Over the span of two decades author, columnist and speaker Carol Bradley Bursack cared for a neighbor and six elderly family members. Because of this experience, Bradley Bursack created a portable support group, the book "Minding Our Elders: Caregivers Share Their Personal Stories."

That's the problem with the whole donut hole - the $250 was the best they could get at this time, but it's better than nothing. It will take several years to close this donuthole, which is a terrible burden on people who need expensive drugs just to live. You're right - it helped a bit for one month. I'm so sorry so many people have to cope with this. My co-pays on insurance for my son's meds are in the thousands every year. This takes a toll on quality of life for everyone. You have lots of company.
