Carol Bradley Bursack, Jul 4, 2010
Over the span of two decades author, columnist and speaker Carol Bradley Bursack cared for a neighbor and six elderly family members. Because of this experience, Bradley Bursack created a portable support group, the book “Minding Our Elders: Caregivers Share Their Personal Stories.” Her sites, www.mindingourelders.com and www.mindingoureldersblogs
That's the problem with the whole donut hole - the $250 was the best they could get at this time, but it's better than nothing. It will take several years to close this donuthole, which is a terrible burden on people who need expensive drugs just to live. You're right - it helped a bit for one month. I'm so sorry so many people have to cope with this. My co-pays on insurance for my son's meds are in the thousands every year. This takes a toll on quality of life for everyone. You have lots of company.Carol
