My dad has been using a wheelchair for the past 2 years after he met with a car accident. He has been using a normal wheelchair. Last day he asked me if I could buy a motorized wheelchair for him, so that he could travel with more ease. So I have checked a few motorized wheelchairs online. I like Trident 20 inch front wheel powered wheelchair from online shop Agecomfort the most. Any Suggestions will be good about the particular model or any other,

Of course it is difficult for me to answer you properly, as marks and models will certainly not be the same in Belgium/ Europe, where I live, and those available where you live. It is however imperative that you go together with your father to see and try out. A comfortable seat is absolutely necessary, and that you can not judge when online buying. Furthermore, If I were you, I would contact my doctor or a geriatric specialist to have your father tested so that you can be sure that he is able to drive this wheelchair properly. Here, we can obtain a certain amount from the social security provided we are handicapped for over 66 %. So there is a lot more to take care of then just buying this thing. One more point : I think that also in your town or environment, there must be a high amount of 2nd hand machines, who have barely been used for a couple of hundred miles. I wish you good luck and a good purchase. It will certainly give your father much more freedom than a normal wheelchair. With a big hug and many happy years still to come for your father and you also of course.

Talk to his doctor about this first. Doctor may be able to recommend an occupational or physical therapist who can recommend a customized chair. If he has the support of the doctor, Medicare may pay for it, or some of it. If there is no doctor or won't support the idea and you are still wanting one for him, consider these sites: Wheelchair fit resources

Online, no because you need to be fitted to proper seat height and width.
If you know his measurements and weight, you can pick these chairs up second hand for about $200 locally.
With a prescription from an MD, you can rent a new one, and your insurance might even cover 80% of the rental.
