Boiled or poached eggs are very easily mashed up with a fork. Beans and rice make a complete protein. All of the suggestions emjo23 made are very good. Unjury brand protein (order online) is a very good high protein powder. They even have a chicken soup flavor. You can add the powder to anything, they have recipes on their website. Make Jello pudding and add protein powder to it. Smoothies are good. Carnation Breakfast Essentials (formerly Instant Breakfast) comes in different flavors and is good and easy. But, no kidding, a food processor or good blender will be helpful. If you have trouble with meat being tough, try a pressure cooker.

There are foods like dairy products than can be used in a pureed diet. Cottage cheese has good protein as has milk and yogurt. You can puree soft fish, chicken and turkey, and also use powdered protein supplements which are usually whey protein though others are available. Beans and other legumes are high protein and can be pureed. You can add protein shakes to his diet as well. Egg whites are pure protein, the yolk has other nutrients. Smooth peanut butter is OK. Red meats may be able to be pureed if they are well cooked/ made tender by boiling or braising and you have a good food processor or blender. Bone broth contains a lot of protein and is very nutritious if you want to be bothered making it. Basically simmer any kind of bones like BBQ chicken carcass with a splash of vinegar for several days. A slow cooker is useful. Then it can be strained and the liquid should gel when it is cooled. That shows there is a good amount of protein in it. Google high protein pureed diets and you will find meal plans. Good luck and come back and let us know how you make out.
