Find Care & Housing
I'd call the Veterans Representative and see if you can find someone. Otherwise, call the VFW or American Legion or some other Veterans organization. This is a find thing to do and they should be able to help you find someone who needs this.
Take care,
Carol

What a wonderful thing to do!

In addition to Carol's suggestions, you might also try Purple Heart Homes, http://www.purplehearthomesusa.org/, 855-PURPLE-9.

It's an organization founded by two wounded veterans to assist veterans who have homes, don't have homes, need assistive device adaptations, etc. It's not the same organization as Purple Heart which collects clothing, etc. for donation/resale.

You can also call 211, the United Way help hotline, to ask about veteran specifc programs in CT. Also check CT's and your local county's website to determine if they have a Veterans' program (Michigan does); they might know of organizations such as Purple Heart Homes that can use the stair lift.

I've read of other Veterans' organizations with functions like those of Purple Heart Homes but don't have information on them now. I'll post again if I can find it.

And thanks for having such a good heart and wanting to help our Veterans!
