She has had a laz-y boy for years. I see in the future she will need assistance. I have scoured the internet and am completely lost in the hype of what is the best power lift chair and recliner. Any suggestions for a good chair?

Also look at the reviews if there are any and the warranty. Simple buttons would be good as well. Of course there are some chairs that not only"lift" but they have massage in them too. ( Might cost more but worth it if it helps plus insc should help cover it). Good luck :)

Don't get the "leather" kind. It's not really leather, it's like a painted vinyl and the paint wears off very quickly. Ugly, ugly, ugly.

Actually, you start with her MD. If he writes an order for a power recliner with lift, you take the Rx to a medical equipment store, where she is fitted to a proper chair. Her Medicare part B will cover about 80% of the lease and at the end of the lease, you own the chair. Same holds true for adjustable beds. They deliver and set it up and service it and take it away if she does not need it anymore.
