Depends on the state you live in. I am in Texas , and Texas Medicaid has a benefit called "Day Activity Health Services" that is adult day care. It is paid for in increments of 1/2 day and full day, and you would have to apply to the Texas DADS unit near you for help getting to a facility and then getting the payment authorized. Go to your State HHS website to research what programs are available, and eligibility requirements for Medicaid. Many of the Adult Day Care Centers also do not take insurance but will work with you on a sliding fee scale and/ or reduced payment plan.
