How long have you had your house in her name? Some states go back 5 years. And if they can prove it was changed over with intent then they will still count it.

have had the house in my name for 5 years. Just worried that i will be responsible for both if she needs to go into assisted living, with the way house selling is today. How can I protect her money at this time. My name is on everything she has. In Pa I believe she could perhaps pay me as a caregiver to protect her assest this way.
