Dressing/undressing my wife is difficult-putting slacks on her while seated but when I stand her up,cannot at that time pull them up-ideas?

Over the span of two decades author, columnist and speaker Carol Bradley Bursack cared for a neighbor and six elderly family members. Because of this experience, Bradley Bursack created a portable support group, the book "Minding Our Elders: Caregivers Share Their Personal Stories."
It sounds like you may have to look for adaptive clothing made for people in wheelchairs. Slacks can be a real problem, but there are some good options online. Just type "adaptive clothing" into your search browser and you should come up with some options.Carol

My relative can pull her slacks up after using the bathroom. However, she had trouble. I bought her all new slacks a size larger, and she has no trouble getting them pulled up.

I bought mom a couple of inexpensive skirts with elastic waist bands at Walmart. I can get them over her shoulders so I don't have to have her standing.

Also, I bought my mom nylon panties that are like satin and make it easier for her to pull up her pants.
