Find Care & Housing
Have you spplied for Aid and Attendence from the VA? It seems as though you need to figure out first what they need, then how you're going to make it happen. Do they need 24/7 supervision? Unless they are wealthy, that can't happen at home, it would mean a facility. If they need some care coming in each day/and or daycare, talk to your local area agency on aging and find out what programs are available. Apply for VA benefits and Medicaid both.

I forgot to mention Dad is eligible for VA benefits. Would that affect anything?

Are they on Medicare or Medicaid ? If not on Medicaid, they should apply. There is a program called PACE for Medicaid eligible seniors that aims to keep them at home with services like adult day care.
