My mother-in-law is paying $3400.00 a month for hers. It's comparable to the rest of the asst living places here in Oregon, at least in the suburbs of Portland. Her particular one does not take Medicare/Medicaid but there are some that do. Avamere is one outfit that does.

Memory care unit in Houston, TX,will cost from $4100 on up. Assisted living is not covered by medicaid--only skilled nursing homes.
