I have two parents with dementia.
Carol Bradley Bursack, Jan 18, 2010
Over the span of two decades author, columnist and speaker Carol Bradley Bursack cared for a neighbor and six elderly family members. Because of this experience, Bradley Bursack created a portable support group, the book "Minding Our Elders: Caregivers Share Their Personal Stories."
Yes, there are. You'll have to do some checking, but many are like apartments and have two bedrooms. Of course, they are more expensive. Then again, memory units with two bedrooms may be harder to find. I'd call around the area. You can check for some ideas on http://www.agingcare.com/Find-Senior-Care/ .
Also, use the yellow pages from the area you want.
Sometimes, people can be put in adjoining rooms, or a double room. Two people with dementia is tough. I know. I've been there.Take care and good luck,Carol
