Give a Hug

sounds like medicare's doughnut hole kicked in. This is the period of time where you are responsible for paying the full retail cost of RX app $3850 (annually) before Medicare covers it again. For our parents, based on their medicines they are covered for 9 months before we have to pay full price for the ones that don't have a generic equivalent like Namenda and Advair. Check http://www.aarp.org/healthcoverage/medigap/You can find discount cards if you don't have supplemental insurance for him or do what we do, we just pay for half of the prescriptions at a time....like 15 days worth.
