I care for my mother in her home. She is a diabetic and recently had her leg amputated. My sister is POA. I am not being compensated other than room and board and meals. My sister seems to think that room and board is fair compensation for me. She has made many decisions concerning my mother's money which I think is unfair to my mother and myself.

Would your mother agree to add you to the POA? Or is she in the dark about what is going on? Your mother has the right to add or subtract anyone she wants to as POA. Talk to her, tell her your concerns. But as far as getting paid to take care of your mother, good luck with that one...

Thank you for the comment naheaton. I am aware of the solution which you suggested and to answer your question yes it seems that Mom is in the dark these days. I am finding it to be more and more frustrating to care for my Mom because of the fact that she just does not seem to with it anymore. I just never thought about having to be involved in a situation like this. I am seeing may sisters act in ways I never thought they would. It gets complicated as one sister directs the other etc. I am the oldest and only son with three sisters. In addition our two cats and one dog are girls. My sister acts so quickly on things she just makes me feel like her decision are not the best moves. I wish my Dad was still around because things felt so much more solid and correct when he was here.
