Carol Bradley Bursack, Oct 20, 2011
Over the span of two decades author, columnist and speaker Carol Bradley Bursack cared for a neighbor and six elderly family members. Because of this experience, Bradley Bursack created a portable support group, the book "Minding Our Elders: Caregivers Share Their Personal Stories."
Many of them have buses. Call around - I'd say the majority do. Good luck!Carol

Give a Hug
Oct 20, 2011
I was recently hired "sight unseen" by a woman in her late 40's with a whole laundry list of ailments, including Fibromyalgia. My entire job is transporting her around, although soon I will be helping with housework and hope to cook for her as well. If you're looking for respite care that includes transportation - just ask! I have a clean driving record, and references, but this woman chose to say "You have a friendly face" and hire me unchecked! Amazing. There are those like me out there who are waiting for your call. I do caregiving, mainly, but it was a wonderful break for me to spend the day driving around. She is terribly weak, and requires a close buddy.
