Trying to simplify my caregiving situation

My mother refuses to get a nurse to come to the house. She thinks she can care for my dad all on her own. me and my family moved in to help and support. My brother has caused turmoil taking advantage of his illnes. Abussing poa is a felony she refuses to accept this.I have been taking care of all her paper work since. i just dont know if i should move out . Im afraid my mom could need me in the middle of thenight for my dad as in the past..but wooried my kids know he has urunated outside in the kitchen garbage can tried removing his bowel with a toothbrush this hurts me

Lori: this situation is way beyond the limits of what you can do for your parents right now. In fact, it sounds like it is overwhelming.
Suggestions:
1. contact elder services/attorney in your area to get protections for your parents to keep your brother from taking advantage. (also put a "fraud alert" on his credit report...just call one of the credit companies and they will explain it to you.)
2. contact aging services in your area to see about a placement for your father. Your mother can no longer take care of him. Also, get help in-home help for your mother.
3. protect your family and do what's best for them.
