Help with Finance untill the house is sold

I am trying to get my parents into assisted living, theh ouw thier own home and its payed for but the banks will not give us a Line of credit or revese morgage unless the are living in it but we need money untill its sold, are thier any institutions we can go to for this

You might need to see an elder lawyer to get you started or the people running the assisted might know how to go about this I am sure they have situations like this often-hope this helps I am sure others will come on who have had experience that is what is great about this place -the experience of others.

My father is essentially demanding we care for him. He said he doesn't want us to travel, go out at night or leave him alone or he will leave everything to relatives and tell family we have neglected him.
