Depends on what kind of programs. I have been caregiving for about 8 years and have found free assistance in lots of ways-- meal on wheels for food, church caregiving groups that can pitch in, respite services that are free or paid for (at least in part if not fully) by the government. Each state has different ways that they can help. And locally there can be a great deal of assistance. Are you talking about adult day care or respite services?

Does anyone know of any real work from home jobs? I've been caring for my mother for 1 1/2 years now and my not working is starting to put a strain on our finances. I'm not looking for free money, I want to work but can't leave my mother alone. Getting someone in to watch mom wouldn't work either as I would just have to pay them. Everything I seem to find on the internet seems to be a scam. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
I know how hard that is because my normally sweet mother did the same stubborn thing. She had been so sick she’d gotten down to 82 pounds, yet would clinch her teeth when I got half way through feeding her.
