My sisters and I care for my widowed mom at our homes. Right now my husband is caring for his mom in hospice care also. It is a challenge, but also a great honor to care for those who cared for us.

I am caring for my mother, Geri, who is 81 years old, living at my home and the primary ailment is alzheimer's / dementia.

What do family members expect from professional caregivers regarding care of their loved on with dementia?

I expect them to treat them just as if the person they are caring for is their own family member; near and dear to them, with kindness, patience, and lots of patience and TLC

My mother constantly peels the skin from her head. The doctor gave her her cream to put on it, but she takes it off. I'm worried she will dig a hole in her scalp. What do I do?
