Give a Hug
My grandmother had a stroke and her speech was paralyzed. The stroke is not life-threatening, but she is declining in health, refuses a feeding tube, and is now in a hospice.
I feel so helpless. All my research says people can recover from a stroke, but she seems to have just given up.
Has anyone else ever gone through this? I visit her every weekend (because I live 100 miles away). She looks fine, but I get phone calls from my mom saying she is "going slowly". This is so heartbreaking and frustrating at the same time.
