There are some online sites for diapersthat help out, but it may only apply to people on Medicaid. Anyone on the forum have experience with this?

Thanks,
Carol

My mother is on Medicaid, therefore she does get diapers, and gloves at no cost to her....But it is because she is on Medicaid.....We live in Illinois....There are many places in our small town that works with Medicaid to help the elderly.....
But the requirement is the person has to be on Medicaid to get help with the personal items.

Hi everyone,

A social worker that I have dealings with gave me a list of places that actually accept medicare A&B. According to her, all you need is a doctors note/prescription.

Homecare Delivered.

DHC Medical Supply.

Emerald Medical Services

There are more, but this one supplies incontinence products.

Good Luck!

HERMAN:

This is one of those situations when the squeaky wheel gets the grease. I'd recommend you do a Google search on "free adult diapers" and make a habit of it. You'll find links to businesses that sell at discount prices. Churches can also help -- especially if you are a member.

Push comes to shove, get cloth diapers and put them in the washer with plenty of hot water, and liquid Gain for that Spring scent. Don't forget the fabric softener. ... That's what I did with my Dad when Underalls didn't fit my budget and my family and so-called "friends" couldn't help. Wish you the best.

The places that sell the products can often tell you if medicare will cover the cost of products and the advice to use cloth diapers and wash them is a good idea and probably better for the skin-I hope all the advice you got will help let us know how it turns out for you we can all learn from each other.

I do not know how much money you have? But if like me at the end of the month you are not sure how you are going to make it....I found online a case of depends for 49.95. I wrote the company...waiting for reply....But 49.95 for a case doesn't sound bad considering the fact we have to buy them by the pack and they are not cheep...Hang on I will have an answer for us if I can ... I do not give up easily....Hugs to you....Cc aka Sharon
