Give a Hug
I have been unable to work for 3 years after moving in to take care of my mother. She has many problems from Dementia, Depression, Alzheimers, Bursitis and is pretty much confined to her Recliner. She can't sleep in a bed and her back and joints are just months from a wheel chair. She puts foil in the microwave, leaves stove eyes on and burns up what she does put on. She can't drive and is apt to falling down when walking alone. Her memory is gone and thinks people are watching and waving at her from inside the TV at night. I need to be with her 24-7 and haven't worked for several years and need to find a program in GA that will give me some financial assirtance....

Randy yout story sounds just like my story. i'm going to retire this june to take care of my mother and grandmother who sounds like your Mother. they both are at the point they can't be left along. Once i get home my work day starts all over in the house dealing with grandma. when she goes to the bathroom it becomes a mess, beging her to eat ,on and on and on. and here in califronia if you have any typy of of propatiy they won't give you anything. right now we pay out of pocket so we just use her money she get per month to pay for what she needs. and put the rest in the house for what we need to make it run. she live there too. so i'm going to look at that as my pay.
