In this very active thread
WHY DO ELDERLY PARENTS TURN ON THE CHILD THAT IS TRYING SO HARD TO TAKE CARE OF THEM. WHY TREAT THEM SO UGLY
I suggested to those caregivers who are given a hard time to start videotaping their interactions with the parent. One gal has audio of her mother's abusive sessions. So we were wondering bout the legality of doing this, should the parent know they are being filmed. Perhaps the videos are ok for preliminary adult protective services investigations, but not as evidence, Etc. Can you clarify? It's so easy now to get long video shot with these point and shoot cameras, even cell phones have good video. Thanks.

How should we approach coverage of expenses in case private pay caregivers are injured while taking care of my mother?

Who covers emergency medical expenses?
What about disability from injury- who pays?
Who is liable overall to compensate caregiver.
Should I get additional insurance, an attorney etc.
